Hard to believe that she’s 18 months already. To celebrate, Maddy did some coloring and spent a lot of time enjoying the sun in our backyard playing on her new slide that a neighbor gave us. I think her new favorite word is “weeeeee”!

Maddy had a very fun St. Patrick’s Day today, mostly because they had a cute little party at daycare where she had her first “jumpy house” experience.
In other news, Maddy’s favorite words this week are bird, manana (my banana), mine, tight, ball, book, and various animal noises – which you can hear for yourself during this story time in which she only got slightly distracted part way through reading her favorite board book:
As you can see from the second video below, she has also recently become obsessed with her legs and likes to pull her pants up while she walks around the house. If only it were warm enough for shorts or skirts…
Especially when it’s with my friend Sierra. We got together last weekend and wrecked some havoc. It was especially fun to face off over the block towers that daddy made for us and see who would knock them down first. We thought we were pretty funny.
After Sierra left we both unfortunately got little colds. Mine was just a minor runny nose for most of the week, but by Friday I started getting a pretty yucky cough too, and I’ve been out of sorts all weekend. Mom and dad are hoping it goes away pretty soon so I get back to my normal not-so-whiny self.
