Maddy’s been obsessed with three things this week:
- Her “babies”
- “Airplane” rides from Dave
- Washing her hands (aka playing with water in the sink)

Maddy with her "baby" Maddy's "babies"
Photographed here are her fabulous dolls, which she loves to take care of. She puts them down for “ni-night”, feeds them, changes their diapers, takes their clothes off (wish she would put them back on), sings to them, rocks them, straps them in our infant carseat, etc. Hopefully a good sign for things to come… Thanks to Barbara, Monica and Lisa for the perfect gifts!

Watching the geese and ducks from the bridge
Today, we had our last Maddy/Mommy alone day, which was fun despite the fact that I’m starting to come down with a cold. We went to the cute little Palo Alto Zoo, where Maddy was almost as interested in the animals as she was in the 10 or so other kids her age. I don’t think she’s ever been around so many toddlers at one time. She really liked the geese, turtles, bobcats, raccoon and peacock. Near the owl building, she found mist and a puddle to splash in and loved that until she realized her sandals had gotten “yucky” and wanted to take them off.

Lovin the bobcats Can you tell which one is Maddy? Lovin the mister and puddle
